The artist

Between the tangible and the imagined.

Based in Florianópolis, Cristiano develops a body of work that moves between digital creation, photography, physical supports, animation and immersive environments. Since 2019, his work has been presented internationally in cities including Istanbul, Dubai, Shanghai, Tokyo, Paris, New York, Lisbon and Porto.

In 2022, during the centenary of Brazilian Modernism, he presented the Manifesto for Digitalism at PUC-SP. The movement proposes that physical and digital realities no longer be treated as opposites, but as a single expanded field for human creation.

The work

Images that continue beyond the image.

Chaussard’s trajectory is inseparable from his experience as an entrepreneur, professor and researcher of innovation. This does not turn his art into a technological demonstration. It gives him a particular vantage point from which to examine how technology changes perception, authorship and the relationship between people and reality.

His collections investigate hidden scales, imagined organisms, satellite views, sensory ambiguity and the visual tension between what exists and what the mind completes. The same work may unfold as a physical object, sound, animation or immersive experience.

In 2026, he was elected an Immortal of the Brazilian Academy of Fine Arts, with formal induction scheduled for December 7. The recognition marks a new institutional chapter in a career committed to building a Brazilian artistic language for the hybrid age.
